Mission Statement
We are passionate about promoting the welfare and appreciation of donkeys, burros, mules, and hinnys. Our official mission statement is to advocate, showcase, promote, and educate about Equus Asinus (& hybrids).
We are committed to raising awareness and changing perspectives on donkeys. By helping people understand how wonderful donkeys are as pets, we aim to build their value in the public eye and ensure they are cherished for their intrinsic qualities. BRAY is inclusive and welcoming of all people who share the love of donkeys.
Advocate
We actively support the welfare and proper treatment of donkeys and donkey hybrids. Through widespread education and advocacy, we work to create positive change for these incredible animals, addressing issues of exploitation, and promoting responsible ownership, education, and welfare.
Showcase
We highlight and celebrate the positive qualities, abilities, and contributions of donkeys and their hybrids through events, demonstrations, parades, lectures, and shows. These activities help people appreciate the unique traits and abilities of donkeys.
Promote
We aim to improve public perceptions and understanding of donkeys and donkey hybrids. Our campaigns, marketing/social media efforts, ambassador work, along with our initiatives aim to foster a more informed and positive view of these amazing animals, while promoting education and welfare.
Educate
We provide information, resources, and talks to educate the public and owners about proper care, management, and welfare. Our lectures and presentations aim to teach donkey owners, enthusiasts, and potential owners how to keep donkeys happy and healthy.
